 Shinshiro is located in the east of Aichi prefecture and borders Shizuoka prefecture to the east. The city is about 29.5 kilometers from East to West, and about 27.3 kilometers from North to South; an area of 499 km 2, and about 52,000 people are living. It’s covered with green 84% of the city to form the mountains and play the part of the source of a river of the whole area. Cherry blossoms and colored leaves are beautiful, and there is a beautiful scenery, and Sakurabuchi-Park and Mt.Houraiji attracts visitors. ShinshiroCityis full of charm, such as it’s cool even in summer in Tsukude-plateau and good hot spring in Yuya, the special products such as Taro Potatoes, green tea, a plum, highland vegetables, and the folk entertainment such as Kabuki and the Dengaku.
